The next Reader Teleconference will be

This teleconference, an open forum for our readers, will focus on "Autoimmune Disorders Treated with Immune Globulin Therapy." Our guest speaker is, Sue Romanick, MD, a rheumatology specialist in Bellevue, Washington. Dr. Romanick received her honors bachelor's degree in science at the University of Toronto (Trinity College). She obtained her medical degree at McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario, where the emphasis on approach to patients was based on problem-solving (which remains an approach she firmly believes in). She received postgraduate training at the University of Toronto. Subsequently, she participated in immunology research at the German Cancer Research Institute in Heidelberg, Germany, where she worked with cell clones and cytokine induction. She then completed a fellowship in plasmapheresis and immunology at the University of California, San Francisco. Dr. Romanick then completed a fellowship in rheumatology at the University of Washington in Seattle.
